I have changed this list to the top 11 toughest places to play so here they are

#1. The Swamp (Florida)

Holds about 88,000, but seems much, much louder than that. Consder this it is very hot here, over 100 degrees usually, in fact the reason Gatorade was developed was to cool players down here.  The Gators have had 109 straight sell out's and it is the very, very loud. Since 1990 the Gators are 89-6, and the fans are so close to the field, players have said they never hear the play's called.

#2. Death Valley (LSU)

A big place, holding 92,000, but is still very, very loud, and no one wants to go there. One game had a decibel level of 119.6, so this place can get up there as well. It is famous for the long parties leading up to night games, which is why it is even tougher at night. LSU has won 77% of games at night here since 1960, and has not lost at night in Death Valley since 2002,  watch out if you have to play here.

#3. The Autzen Zoo (Oregon)

Without a question the loudest place in the country. The atmosphere is ridiculous, and it has had over capacity audience, during every game since 1999. The stories are crazy, last year in the win over USC, noise was recorded at 127.2 decibels. Nobody wants to go play there, and I had a mind to put this place #1, it is that tough of a place to play.

#4.The 12th Man (Texas A&M)

Known as the home of the 12th man, it is one of the loudest craziest places to play. holds over 80,000 and I think that it sounds as loud as places like The Swamp. I remember some big upsets occuring their, but now they seem to struggle here recently.

#5.Beaver Stadium (Penn State)

Maybe the most ruthless fan's in the nation reside hear. Obviously the white-out's are just scary, but I have it lower, because I have seen teams like us last year go in there during a white out, and blow them out. The horror stories include fans throwing urine on Ohio State fan's, and spitting on Michigan fan's. Never like going in there it is just a huge place, that is very, very loud.

#6.The Shoe (Ohio State)

I go to every home game, and have the past 5 years, and it is as loud as it gets. 2 games stick out in my mind the 2005 Texas Ohio State matchup, and the classic 2006 Ohio State Michigan game. Both times it felt like the whole place was shaking, I mean you could not hear yourself speak, then at the Michigan when everyone went on the field it was madness. On third down when AC/DC's Hells Bells comes the place gets loud, and if it is a big game, you don't sit down once.

#7.Lane Stadium (Virginia Tech)

May be small, but I have been to one game there, and when Enter Sandman plays it is crazy loud. A great atmosphere especially at night, but during the day not as loud, or so it seems. Reminds me a lot of Autzen Zoo, except not as loud. Seating is very close to the field.

#8.Neyland Stadium (Tennessee)

One of the most underrated places to play. Pretty loud, but not overwhelming. A very great college experience with Rocky Top being belted out after basically every play. Tennessee seems to play well their, and I would not want to play there. A little lower than most have them, but I think it is similar to The Big House, a moderatly loud stadium, with a lot of people.

#9.Camp Randall Stadium (Wisconsin)

Know for their famed "Jump Around" chant, this place is very underrated, and is hard to play. Not huge with a capacity of 80, 321, but is a very loud place. And people say the fans their are very, cruel and reading ESPN the magazine, Chris Chambers said that he would come back to the huddle laughing at the chants theyed make up. As a Buckeye fan I am always scared when we go play their.

#10.The Big House (Michigan)

I lost a lot of respect for how tough this place was after the Appy State, game, but nonetheless it is still a very, very hard place to play. Capacity of 107,501, but it is not as loud as the attendance makes it seem, a lot of the sound goes straight up, not onto the field. Still a tough place to go play.

#11.Memorial Stadium (Oklahoma)

Holds about 80,000, but it is not an extremly loud stadium. OU despite it not being a very loud place, has only lost 1 game since 2001 here, so teams obviously don't like to come here. When you play here, at times it will seem silent, but it can still get pretty loud.
