There were a few big headlines for the day.
1. Olympic defending 400m champion aka Chinese track god in China left the track after some antilles injuries after warming up and after a false start and was scratched from the race.
2. After a long night of gymnastics pummel horse USA star Alexander "sasha" Artemev fell off and ended up in 7th place in the competition. But our girls shined in the floor routine. Shawn Johnson eyed her first gold medal and was in first with Nastia in second until the last girl to go. A Russian girl hit all her landing perfectly and won the competition. We were left with a silver and a bronze.
In the medal count China is catching up and is only 4 medals behind USA.
Tomorow night is more volleyball, gymnatcis event finals and some more track and field finals.
