A 90 m.p.h league ball moves with the velocity and ferociousness of a .22 caliber bullet, at least for 13 year old hitters from Italy facing Mexico's Jesus Sauceda in this Little League World Series game must have what it was equated to.
Sauceda's mastery dismantled the Italian team in four innings (Mercy rule) and in that span he struck out all 12 batters he faced and hit a grand slam.
And yes, he's really 13, not another Felipe de Jesus Almonte who claimed to be 12 but was really 14. But no matter the case his performance yesterday will be timeless.
