The Toronto Blue Jays' Dustin McGowan threw a near no-no today against the Colorado Rockies in a 5-0 giving the Jays a three game sweep. The Jays seem to be clicking right now as they have been winning and winning often. Although the Jays are pretty much out of playoff contention this year, the future looks bright. Also in the Rockies- jays series, Frank Thomas hit his 11th and 12th homers of the season. Bringing him 1 shy the magical 500th homer. The Jays are now .500 for the first time in a season where expectations were so high. At least the young stars are developing and i'll be looking forward to seeing and 08 playoff run
The San Fran Giants beat the New York Yankees 6-5 in extras on Saturday. Barry Bonds had to RBI's including a bases loaded walk that gave the Giants the lead in the 8th. That all changed when the streaking Alex Rodriguez bolted a solo shot to tie the game. The giants bounced back though and took the game.
Alfosno Soriano is on a hot streak right now. He has 2 straight leadoff homeruns in the first inning. The Cubs are closing in on a sweep of the Sox. In the battle of the cellar-dewellers.
