This is an exciting week, as there will be an overhaul of the site coming this week. A new look to the front page, apparently a new logo and a more linear feel to it. You can already see the some of the changes done, and I think you will like it.
What we hope to have though is "fan feedback". I was already told that one driving force to maybe have more Fan Nation folks involved would be "Throwdowns", and I am sure something like that could be implemented, although we will have "trash talk cams", and really...we want you to have Fan Nation as an option to do them. It would be kind of pointless to have Throwdowns on two places, wouldn't it?
Another thing...growth. We think Diehard101 will be something special, and has literally been growing past expectations based on just word of mouth. If you come aboard, tell friends and loved ones. If you post blogs with us, definately post a link to your blog in any forums you participate in. You can RSS feed to your MySpace and remember, design your profile using MySpace layouts and coding. Works beautiful on Diehard101.
I have been getting a LOT of friend requests, and I am definately cool with this, so add me, I don't deny anyone, send me any questions about the site you have.
Another thing I think I forgot to mention. One of my goals is to get the actual athletes we blog about to come on the site and join, and maybe put up their blogs themselves. I got this idea from seeing Curtis Granderson's articles on ESPN. I always thought the coolest thing about being a fan is getting to tell athletes why you are a fan, and it would be very cool in my opinion, to get fans interacting socially with players. Maybe they have time, maybe they don't...but I will be trying to get some on board as well.
That being said, we appreciate Fan Nation members support and I still want to see some designed profile links in the comments here. The challenge from yesterday is extended indefinately. Let's see your best representing of your team or favorite player. Show everyone....that's what it's about.
