Vincent Hancock is not only an Olympic Gold Medal winner in the Skeet Shooting Competition but he is a Soldier in the United States Army.  A young man from Georgia that enlisted in the Army to not only display his skills with the United States Army Marksmanship Unit but to stand up and show his patriotism.  Much like the inspirational story of Pat Tillman, Private First Class Hancock could have elected to showcase his skills as a civilian and reap the rewards of his awesome ability to shoot a weapon.  However, he too turned his back to the acolades so that he could do more than receive monetary gains from his talent.  As a World Champion at age 16, Hancock could have steared down that path like many great athletes had done down prior.  But not PFC Hancock.  He is a true patriot and a force to be reckoned with for many more years to come.  The bottom line between PFC Hancock and other athletes is that we as Americans are guaranteed to know that PFC Hancock will share his experiences and skills with other freedom fighters to assist in them becoming better at their duites.  Where as your typical athletes will self indulge in their success and expect favorable actions which is evidenced by the salaries and endorsement deals they receive.  Where as young PFC Hancock will wake up at 05:30 to go to physical training and continue his day working hard so that he can maintain his high level of marksmanship...all for around $2,000 a month.  Wow, can you imagine a world full of PFC Vincent Hancock's?
