We all know that Mens and Women's Senior basketball teams won gold, and that the Men's final has been considered by some the greatest international game ever. We also know that the Men's team has made the topic of the Dream Team vs. the Redeem Team arise. (My opinion: the Dream Team won by larger margins, but the Redeem Team had tougher competition. I still have to give it to the Dream Team.)

But, am I the only one that has noticed that no one is gving the women's team their dues? They are undisputedly the best USA Olympic Women's Basketball team ever, and arguably performed better than the men! Oh well.

On a darker note, however, after signing a contract extension with the Pistons, Lindsey Hunter is now being investigated for buying a house that he can't pay for with his own money.

Going back to a brighter note, now: the Lakers, looking to get over the hump by actually winning an NBA Championship, signed a multi-year contract with 2007 second round draft pick and two-time All-ABA Selection Sun Yue to be their third string SG/7th/8th man.

 The other NBA Finals team also made a move: The Celtics sigend former 3rd overall pick Darius Miles who 10.6 ppg and 5.2 rpg last year for the Portland Trailblazers.

One more tid-bit of news for you here that I only know because I am a die hard Suns fan: The Suns swapped players with the Houston Rockets as they shipped off second year player D.J. Strawberry for rookie Sean Singletar.
