Lions quarterback Jon Kitna apparently advocated the kicking of puppies. He burned Mr. Rogers in effigy. He sided with the terrorists...
He didn't really, but you wouldn't know that based on the reaction his comments have generated on sports talk radio, television, and in newspaper columns out of Michigan.
What outrageous thing did Kitna say? "I'll keep to myself what I think we actually will win. But it's more than 10 games."
No one would chastise a man for saying his wife was the most beautiful woman on earth, even if that man was married to a woman who looked like Lyle Lovett. So why the harsh reaction to Kitna's overly confident assessment? I'll tell you why: because it was a slow news day.
The critics had nothing better to do today than call Kitna crazy, but give it time and those same critics will rake an athlete over the coals for not being more outspoken.
That's just my opinion, and it's a good thing that there are trade rumors now swirling around Mark Buehrle (latest suitor the Mets) and that the NBA draft is right around the corner, or I might really hear about it.

CONCERNING JON KITNA STATEMENT HE CAN SAY WHATEVER HE WANT BECAUSE I BELEVE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE FOR THEM THAT BELEIVE .
