The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Carolina Panthers this thursday night @ 7pm EST (The time was changed to make room for the Democratic National Convention) for the preseason finale.
What to expect: Troy Polamalu will be getting some time on the field. This will be his first preseason appearance, as he was sidelined the last 3 w/ a nagging hamstring injury. There has also been a new Steeler crowned as the starting center, former Carolina Panther himself, Justin Hartwig. It appears that he has won the starting postion off of last years starter, Sean Mahan. Continuity on the offensive line front is of utmost importance this season. No doubt, Big Ben should take as few big hits as possible for the franchise to come out of the upcoming season w/ a winning record & into the playoffs yet again...
Also, thursday night will be an oppertunity for backup QB's Byron Leftwich & Dennis Dixon to really give the Pittsburgh fans a show, as it is highly likely Big Ben will not see much playing time, as an irritating ankle injury has caused him problems all week.... Let's see what these two lads are made of anyway.....
Anyone sick of these Preseason Extravaganzas? The Burgh is ready for the real action to begin.....
