Is anyone else as excited for the college football season as I am??
I'm on tenterhooks waiting for the NC State-South Carolina game to start...and neither of them are teams I'd normally watch on a regular basis. But after four hours of college football coverage last night, thanks to ESPN's "25 Hours of College Football," I am pumped. No, seriously.
At Happy Hour celebrating a coworker's birthday, someone asked what else I like. My response? "Oh, I don't know. I mean, I really like watching college football."
"Really?"
"Ohmygoshitstartstonightat8andI'msoexcited!"
"..........You are a jock, then. Wow."
I just love my college football. Yall know I'm not into making predictions, especially after last season's crazyness, but I really like Oklahoma for the national title. I don't like like them (my sister's a huge Sooner fan), but - not having seen them play - I think they've got a great chance and before they got beat by WVU, I thought they were playing as good, if not better, than anyone else.
Of course, I'll be pulling for USC TROJANS all season. As always, I can't wait to watch every play. I'm really hoping Mark Sanchez is 110% against UVA on Saturday to start the season and I'm looking forward to seeing C.J. Gable healthy again as well. Just imagining how strong and sharp this team could be gives me the jitters - Sat. at 3:30 can't come soon enough!
But for now, it's T-22 MINUTES UNTIL THE START OF THE SEASON! Finally.
(Note: Check out the suit on the NC State coach. Jeez. Man looks ready for a board meeting. Also, Lou Holtz's "Best of" pep talk montage was fab...the first two times I saw it. Let's move on people. And finally, Jesse Palmer annoys me. He's such a Ken.)
