As I just told djroxalot, I'm kind of in a bad mood. I'm in such a bad mood that I want to rant about some things that I have observed in sports lately. So, here we go:

First of all, I am tired of people raining in on excessive celebrations. Why are these kill-joys trying to take the fun out of sports? From the NFL, flagging any kind of end-zone celebrations, to College Football flagging any type of celebration, and finally to IOC moron Jacques Rogge flogging Usain Bolt for his celebrations after winning the 100 Meters. the 200 Meters, and the 4x100 Relay. First of all, sports are meant to be fun. It's human nature to celebrate something good, and who the hell are these arbitors to say "you are going to far, let's criticize you?" You know what: F the no fun police. F them.

Second, why is Jannero Pargo in Europe? The Heat, Suns, Raptors, and a few other teams are crying for backup point guards and here is one who couldn't get a contract from anyone and is now in Europe. Admittedly, if Jannero was so good he might have been kept by the Hornets, but this is a guy who had a solid season backing up Chris Paul and even if he did price himself off of the Hornets someone should have reached into the vault and pay the man. The Raptors and Suns are now forced to go with unproven European talent to back up Jose Calderon and Steve Nash, respectively, and the Heat have to go with Mario Chalmers (a rookie) or the other scrubs on their roster. Big mistake to let this guy go. I know one day he will be back in the League but he should be on a League roster now. Some heads should hang for this.

Third, I'm still sick and tired of Brett Favre. Look, I am a Jets fan and even I have to admit that Favre is better for our team then Pennington and Clemens but I am sick and damn tired of his crying over the Green Bay situation. Look, you are a Jet now. That bridge has been crossed, and by God please burn it. Eating breakfast this morning (a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich by the way) and reading about how the Packers insulted him by not naming him the starter and forcing him to "retire" almost made me choke. Look, Brett you are a grown damn man. If you didn't want to retire, you shouldn't have had the press conference. No one could have "forced" him to do that. You were the legend there. You had the power. If the Packers really didn't want you, you could have forced them to cut you. Make them look bad, not you. So please STFU!!

Finally, the Yankees. Look all good things come to an end. I am from New York City and a Mets fan but I am not a Yankee hater. I can't be. I respect what they have done over the past 15 years but I am sick and tired of delusional Yankee fans. It's over baby. Too many injuries, too old of a team, and honestly Brian Cashman has F'ed up. He didn't stock the farm system, like a good GM is supposed to and he has some sick attraction to acquiring pitchers with arm problems. The guy is a lame duck and he's gone. You heard it from me. The guy's probably going to be Philadelphia's GM next year and hopefully he does better with the Phillies. I just want to let Yankee fans know that they should enjoy the last month of Yankee Stadium because come October the lights will be off.

Sorry if any of this offended you, but I got to rant. It's just me.

Anger...rant blogging.

Good rant, Hova. I agree about the the crackdown on celebrations. Like you said, sports are supposed to be fun so why not show just how much fun you're having?

About Pargo, it was an idiotic move going to Europe. He was somewhat of a hot commodity in the NBA for his services as a backup PG to some playoff teams. For some reason, he didn't want that and now he's having trouble finding a job.

Sorry, I meant to say Pargo may have trouble finding a job if he comes back to the NBA. My bad. I wrote that wrong.

I'm a huge Steve Smith fan being a Panthers fan born in NC in all so i couldn't believe it when the NFL made that rule- he had the best celebrations ( underrated- much better than Chad's). That stuff made me proud to be a Panther fan and now since that last season with celebrations i think 85 and Smitty have lost some motivation, lol.

I agree with your rant on the Yanks there's a reason why they suck with that kinda all star lineup.

Thanks G.O.A.T.

I just don't get the Pargo thing. There has to be something to why he was passed on.

Jrich23:

Thanks. I say bring back the celebrations in the NFL. Some of them were actually pretty clever.

As a Packers fan, I totally agree with you on the Favre situation. The man is just out now to get revenge on the Packers. He doesn't want to be a Jet. He just wants to play and stick it to the Packers. He would absolutely LOVE to be a Viking right now. But he put himself in front of the team and it's his fault.

Great blog, I agree about Pargo.
That guy should have joined the Heat, he would be a better fit than Marcus Banks.
