Sweeping the Dodgers and Braves, to win 6 in a row (and 8 of their last 10)...you sure these are my Nationals??

Even I'm having a hard time imagining this.

Who knew Aaron Boone could deliver in the clutch?? Who imagined this bullpen would shut the door on Atlanta?? More importantly, who figured on Christian Guzman hitting for the cycle the other night??

If this had happened before the All-Star break, we'd be talking about the Nats in the playoff hunt...instead, we're looking to see if they can avoid 100 losses. Just 11 more wins, and we won't have to worry about it.

Hell, at this rate, we could even see the Nats crawl out of the NL East cellar. Seeing as how we play the Phillies, Atlanta again (down there), the Mets for a pair @ Shea, then down to play the Marlins, and then host the Mets these next 18 days...yeah, it can happen.

Just like last year, the Nats can spoil somebody's playoff dreams. Chew on that, boys and girls!!!

Keep in mind who you swept: LA and Atlanta. Not exactly MLB killers.

Yeah, but...notice we're pimp-smacking the PHILLIES right now as I write (4:45 Eastern).
I shouldn't be having THIS much fun right now...oh, hell, who am I kidding?? I'M LOVING THIS!!!
