According to documents obtained by SI.com, two members of the Jamaican Track & Field Olympic team received performance-enhancing drugs, including HGH. Though neither of the two athletes in question won medals in Beijing, does this revelation taint the accomplishments of their teammates, including 100- and 200-meter champion Usain Bolt?

The Jamaicans won 11 medals at the Games, all in Track & Field, with six of them being golds.

This doesn't taint their teammates accomplishments unless they themselves test positive, which I would hate to see happen considering Bolt's impressive performances

September 2, 2008  05:24 PM ET

no, if you are clean

September 2, 2008  05:28 PM ET

No! Many athletes from countries have been busted over the years and it never translated to the entire team took drugs so why should it now.

September 2, 2008  05:32 PM ET

I said this looking @ Bolt's previous times. Tyson Gay was smoking him at the World's and then he shows up a year later in China knocking 1-2 seconds off his time? Hmmmm real hard to figure out. I never bought it, please.....

Bolt + Jamaica + HGH = Beijing Gold

September 2, 2008  05:41 PM ET

Salty Americans.

September 2, 2008  05:42 PM ET

None of these people won medals...Keep digging SI

September 2, 2008  05:42 PM ET

This doesn't tranish the accomplishments of the entire Jamaican Team.

September 2, 2008  05:44 PM ET

Show us the documents SI.

September 2, 2008  05:45 PM ET

They all went to school in the US.

September 2, 2008  05:46 PM ET

Why is it that only America should win in anything. Why can't another country take home the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. America is not the only country with talented athletes. I do believe that had the American athletes won, this article would not have been written!

September 2, 2008  05:48 PM ET

Jamaica has been dominating in Track and Field for many years. But they kept coming in second and third to US athletes on drugs. Now the field is even and we now see who is better.

September 2, 2008  05:51 PM ET

The entire article is very ligth on details. There is no indication in the article of either athlete receiving the HGH. No word of signatures or crdeit card receipts. And before SI has finished substantiating these allegations they go on to attempt to tarnish their teammates. We see your agenda. Show us what you have.

There is no doubt in my mind that Bolt used steroids. His mistake was beating everyone else so soundly in the first 60 meters and just coasting the last 40 meters. That doesn't happen without help from the pharmacy.

September 2, 2008  05:55 PM ET

This story will be buried in a couple days because of the crap that it is. Usain Bolt has been a freak of nature since he was 15 y.o and was the youngest ever Junior World Champion in the 200m. Everyone who paid any attention to track and field over the years knew of Usain Bolt and his potential. But the media only pays attention to athletes from bigger countries, so it only seems that he came out of nowhere.

September 2, 2008  05:57 PM ET

Come on HGH....lol

September 2, 2008  05:58 PM ET

Catfish ... regardless of whether there is doubt in your mind there are rinciples of repsonsible journalism. If SI does not have a lot more than they have shown then they may have irretreivably tarnished these athletes names in the pursuit of jealous sensationalism. Regardles, God is not sleeping.

September 2, 2008  05:59 PM ET

Where is the ring??? Who else is involved??? Where is the prof that they were ordered and signed for by the athletes in question???

Get back out there SI and do soem mor edigging. This sensationalism ent flying!!!

September 2, 2008  06:06 PM ET

No. This article only taints Michael Phelp's accomplishments in the Olympics. We now understand that articles like these written by jingoistic American writers only serve to slam who they think is the 2nd place guy in the Olympics, Usain Bolt. This article shows that there is and was American bias in the articles presented by SI.com. To my eyes, Bolt is the best. Phelps was advertised as the best by SI.com. Articles like this show the All-American double standard. What bias!

September 2, 2008  06:10 PM ET

I am confused and upset with this article and the implications...roughly seven Russian athletes were banned for steroid use before the Olympics and no-one dared to insinuate that the entire Russian team was "dirty" or question any of the medals they won...why is it being done with Jamaican athletes now? Disgusting!!!

It seems Americans are looking for reasons to explain why the got destroyed in the track and field sprints in Beijing. They can't stand the fact that athletes from an island nation, that George Bush could probably buy, embarrassed their athletes. When you find something concrete, and it's on the 'Major League' level athletes, rather than 'Double A' type athletes, bring that out. Otherwise, save it!!!
