-Stephen VanTreese from Lawrance North HS (IN) who went from being in the Top 20 of his '09 class to being out of the Top 150 altogether, might opt to walk-on @ Indiana. He does have an offer from the Irish but, you have to decide playing for free or play for your favorite team you have watched your whole life. -Matt Carlino who was reported, from a AZ newspaper, to have pulled a fast one on Lute Olsen( and the whole state of AZ). Olsen gave Carlino his first scholarship offer in 2004 (7th grade). He has played pick-up games with the whos-who of PointguardU. His dad/coach played for ASU, but rooted for Bob Knight and IU. So it's only natural Matt would become a hoosier fan. Better than that. How about become a Hoosier. He commited to IU @ IU's Elite Camp in Bloomington, after being wowed by Coach Tom Crean and his staff. He's the #8 rated player in 2011. -SF Roger Franklin from Duncanville HS (TX) who has piqued interest from many schools including IU looked like it could have been a major pick-up for Crean and his staff in the '09 Class. But with UCLA showing interest he has dropped us from his short-list. The thing about this guy is he's a solid scorer and relentless defender. He's in the Top 50, so, why are major programs going after him: Hustle, 4-year player, team player, good personality. -PG Dominic Cheek from St. Anthony's HS (NJ), where legendary coach Bob Hurley Sr. coaches, was reported as saying "Cheek has a chance to be great" and Coach Hurley doesn't dish out compliments all the time. WIth the AAU connection to now IU Assistant Roshown McLeod, the recruiting outlook is looking partly sunny with a very good chance of sunshine.
