Okay guys, just wanted to let you know I held back this blog until today because no Giant or Redskin was worthy of starting in my league week 1 in my opinion. A quick review of the game stats shows Plaxico would have been a great pick, but considering he didnt get into the end zone I think we all can do better.

    I play in the ESPN.com Gridiron Challenge fantasy league. The salary cap is $50 million. These are my week 1 starters:

QB Ben Roethlisberger vs. Texans 6.2 million

QB Jon Kitna @ Atlanta 5.7 million

RB Brian Westbrook vs. Rams 6.2 million

RB LaDanian Tomlinson vs. Car. 6.5 million

WR Santonio Holmes vs. Texans 5.5 million

WR Roy Williams @ Atlanta 5.5 million

TE Heath Miller vs. Texans 5.0 million

K Stephen Gostkowski vs. Chiefs 4.7 million

D/ST Denver Broncos @ Raiders 4.4 million

Total spent: 49.7 million

    Last year in this same league I placed at the 81.5 percentile, which had me ranked worldwide at 24260. Obviously I plan on having a way better year this year. Got stuck with a couple of guys burned with injury early last year in Steven Jackson, Chad Pennington, and Eli Manning.

    What do you guys think about my team? Who are you guys starting this week in your leagues? I personally look for matching up quality players versus weak defenses rather than just picking the top stars regardless of who they are playing, but I have that luxury since I never play in draft leagues.
