Sunday kicks off another race to the Super Bowl. For sports fans, primarily football fans, we've been waiting for this moment since Eli Manning grew some balls and led his underdog Giants to a mammoth victory over the Spygate plagued Patriots.
In between then and now Brett Favre a living legend retired and like most great ones un-retired, caused a bunch of ruckus in Green Bay, tarnished his image (a little bit), and then got shipped to NYC - where he has single handedly taken the shine and attention away from the Super Bowl Champion Giants.
Well on Sunday when he and his rat fink coach Mangini roll into Dolphin stadium expect another **** in the armor of Favre. You have to love when the media jumps on the bandwagon, only to be proved wrong. As great as Favre is the facts are that he's with a new team, in a new system and throws lots of picks. The Miami Dolphins are under the watchful eye of Bill Parcels. Expect some defense. Expect to keep Brett off the field as much as possible. Expect to get punched in the mouth.
When Brett uttered those words, "I'm retiring" his mentality changed. Tomorrow is the real deal. We won't be living off his highlights like Mccain is living off his wartime heroics. Come Monday the media in New York will be talking about how, "It's only the first game of the season."

green bay has proboblly the 3rd most talented team in the NFL
the JETS are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overated.
favre isnt the whole team
yes, he did carry the team literally on his one arm the first half of the season, from the record breaking wins, to the td mark 422 in minnesota, but the jets dont have the defensive talent green bay had(HAS)
plus they dont have to play overated or crap teams like detroit and minnesota 6 times a year..they play BUFFALO and NEWENGLAND. buffalo has prolly a top 10 D, they have vastly improved, at the end of the season i hope they back my statment up with facts

The hype of Farve is so high that in my west coast market the morning AFC game of the week is Jets-Dolphins. Considering they normally try to make at least one of the two teams as western as possible, goes to show you they are going for ratings at the expense of covering their own region.
