It's football season again which means cold games on Sundays, fantasy football, living and dying with your team, and of course, the motivation that makes football the elite sport in America - gambling.
My first analysis game is the Seattle Seahawks at Buffalo Bills. I'm all over Buffalo in this game. This is a game, as the spread has it as Buffalo giving 1. In this case, the decision lies on who you think will win. Now, from the naked eye, majority of Americans like Seattle. But this may be a "trap" game. Here's some anaylsis.
First, the game is in Buffalo. Seattle is not the same team on the road as they are at home. In a season opener to a fresh start, the Buffalo crowd will be fired up and ready for a season they are expecting playoffs in.
Home field advantage= Bills.
Now, Seattle's coming into this game with concerns. They are without Deion Branch and Bobby Engram on WR, and Maurice Morris is starting at RB. On defense, they have 2 starters questionable for the game. Now the Bills come in fully healthy, with their Pro Bowl tackle ending his holdout and expecting to play week 1.
Injury problems disadvantage for the Seahawks.
I may be crazy for liking the Bills here, but I really think they are going to pull off what some people may call a mini upset. But in reality they are a potential playoff team with young talent on offense and defense. On a year of potential decline for the Seahawks they come into this game banged up on both sides of the ball, and do not have their "12th man" with them.
