For some unknown reason, Georgia has not begun the 2008 football season yet.  All the pundits and haters, who are always correct, keep saying "Georgia has not played anyone yet."  Odd as it may seem, my dawgs have a shortened 10 game season this year.  I am concerned as to what this extended offseason may do to the team, but I remain hopeful.  It appears that it may have cost the DAWGS the #1 ranking for preseason, but as long as they don't fall to 3rd, should be ok.  At one point, I had wrongly assumed they did play some games, but, the aforementioned pundits and haters refer to these as "scrimmages against cupcakes."  For fun, they at least kept score.  The bad news is, starting D tackle Jeff Owens is lost before even playing a snap this year, injured during the practice scrimmage with Georgia Southern.

Starting the season against USC is always exciting.  It is a next state rival in the SEC.  I know the old bawl sak will have his boys ready.  Since they got to start off conference play already, they are bound to have fire in their belly after getting knocked off by the perennial conference power, Vanderbilt.  I also expect Spurious to crack wise about the shortened season.  One can only speculate as to what vitriol will spring forth from Darth Visor.

But Stafford and Moreno have looked very good in the workouts.  Staffored would have set a career passing mark if the stats had counted.   And Moreno would have already racked up 6 TD's.  Maybe he can put up similar numbers when the season starts.  I remain optimistic.  Maybe we can go 10-0, and get to play in the SEC championship.  Later on, maybe someone can explain why we got the late start.

SC's offense is as stagnat as old bath water. Their defense on the other hand, is the bright spot for the Gamecox.

You guys should have no problem with Georgia. There quarterbacks are garbage...so I think you guys can pull this one off.
