Ok, so BAMA had a lackluster performance against a weaker team. (Someone forgot to tell Tulane they were the weakaer team)  What else is new?  It seems our team only plays to the level of their opponent.  This is what coach Saban keeps telling everyone.  They have to build that mental toughness where it doesn't matter who the opponent is, you got to go out and take care of business.  But I do applaud Tulane.  These guys came to play and didn't lay down just because they were playing mighty BAMA which the previous week had dismantled the #9 team in the country.  I'm sure no school and limited distractions really helped Tulane in their preparation for this game.  My hats off to the Tulane coaching staff and players for not letting distractions and relocations factor into their performance.

As unhappy as I was sitting there Saturday about the offensive performance, there were some positives.  Special teams rose to bail out the offense.  The defense rose to the occasion time after time and held them to just 6 points.   As bad as it looks in the papers and sounds on the radio talk shows, I never really felt like the game was in doubt.

My biggest concern:  the offensive line.  It is really clear now that BAMA needs to stay healthy here.  That was evident Saturday.  That will be crucial heading into SEC play.
