It's official. Tom Brady goes under the knife, and is done for the year, because of the injury he suffered yesterday against the Chiefs.

I'll wait just a moment, while America goes "BWAA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!"...are you done now, America?? Thank you.

     Now, onward...

I've seen the tape of this, and I can't see where you would call this a "dirty" play. Unfortunate, yes; "dirty", no. But that's not why I'm writing this piece.

What cracks me up, is seeing the guy from the Chiefs who caused this injury...apologizing for it. Excuse me, but isn't the purpose to get to the QB?? (Or, to paraphrase Herman Edwards: "You play, to nail the quarterback!!!")

Did Jim Burt apologize, when he laid the lick on Joe Montana (in a NFC playoff game) that put Joe Cool out of football for a year+??

Did Chuck Bednarik apologize, when he laid out Frank Gifford in 1960 (fracturing Giff's skull in the process) and put him out the entire 1961 season??

And, has Lawrence Taylor ever really apologized for snapping Joe Theismann's leg on MNF 23 years ago?? (Though I will say, to L.T.'s credit, he did motion to the Redskins bench after he did it. Even he recognized the severity of what he'd done.)

     No, no, and no.

Oh, and 1 more: Jack Tatum never apologized for making Darryl Stingley a quadriplegic 30 years ago. (Clean hit, you'll recall, but still...)

But let's get back to Tom Brady, shall we??

Maybe it's just the cynic in me, but I can't help but think that this injury is some type of karmic payback for how the Patriots treated the rest of the NFL like crap last year. I doubt if the rest of the pro football world is as broken up over this as the New England region appears to be.

(I'm only making an observation, so please, no hate mail from the Pats faithful on here.)

Let's just say, the Pats season is screwed, and take it from there.

I think it's now safe to say that Brady currently sucks as a player and his season's stats will back that up ........CCCRRRRAAAAAAACCKKKK - OUCH!

What's up with this Communist moniker anyway?

Without Tom Brady the Patriots will go back to the playoff. Point to take in though most recent QB injuries Tony Siragussa apologized for what happened to Rich Gannon and Kimo Von Olehoffen apologized for taking out Carson Palmer. Both teams surprisingly won the Super Bowl that same year as their big guy took out the other QB, but dont get excited about the Chiefs chances the couldnt even finish of the Pats without Brady

meant to say Patriots wont go back to playoffs

IDIOT BLOG written by an idiot and read by an idiot who peed his pants when he heard Brady's knee go .....CCCCRRRRAAAAAAACCCKKKK! :)

Call it karma, call it irony, call it whatever, it happened. The Pats may still make the playoffs, but there's no doubt teams aren't going to be looking at the Pats game on their schedule the same way they've done in recent years.

Remember the next-to-last sentence in this piece, Thug?? "It's only an OBSERVATION, so please, no hate mail from the Pats faithful on here".
Lo and behold, WHO comments first?? Lex Luthor himself.
I write an OBJECTIVE piece, and what do I get?? The same vitriol I got LAST year.
Is the paranoia THAT blatant across Pats-land, or is it just Lex B???

Kinciom, I'm trying to figure whether you're AGREEING with me or not. I think you ARE, but I'd like to be sure.
All I had to say was "Brady", and BINGO!!! 200 views (so far)...
OK, back to your paranoia (already in progress...LMMFAO).

The idea that some long-in-the-making cosmic intervetion sidelined Mr. Brady is quite sad. Who celebrates a season ending injury? Well, that one???s easy: People who have never had the misfortune to experience said injury themselves; people who are jealous of a sucessful person/program; people who are just attempting to fire up other fans for their own amusement; people who choose to believe in Karma when something bad happens to those they dislike. Like I said, sad. Children laugh at a serious injury because they are not mature enough to relate it to their own lives. They cannot see that the opposing team???s jersey on an injured player is not a cause for laughter or joy, because they have yet to encounter such an event. We see this lesson learned all the time, in games at the high school level upward. Serious injury-all the players kneel and pray together. Season ending injury- the players (don???t pray, but) all express their sadness that one of their own has been hobbled. MVP blew out his knee. Does it matter if he was scrambling and planted it wrong or if someone rolled him up in the pile or if a blitzer dives to make a play at the last minute? Seriously. The injury is terrible for Pats fans, and I suppose good news for the fanbases of rivals, but why would you celebrate pain and injury? The good news should be that the rest of the AFC now has a better percentage of reaching the big game in February, not that an unselfish, hard working, and humble player has been placed on IR.

I wasn't celebrating this, merely pointing out that the REST of America was laughing at this misfortune of Brady's.
Can I help it if Pats fans don't appreciate an INDEPENDENT observation on this??
