So I recently discoverd that the Fan Mail button located at the top of the page was added after several complaints form Fan Nation members which includes me and a long list of other users...
Once again Fan Nation members complained about the FM button not actually alerting or showing us when new Fan Mail had arrived so I noticed today that a (0) was placed in front of the FM label and I finally thought to myself ," they are starting to get it".
...Maybe. Since the Fan Nation format has changed (believe it or not only since last Wednesday) their have been several issues that have been resolved or fixed, I should say. The TD page has improved majorly and I'm starting to think that maybe, just maybe the TD page is actually better than it used to be... Maybe.
But another thing I noticed was that my eyes are starting to get used to the blinding background and the new setup, which sursprises me completey. Overall I am still not completey getting the hang of this site since the community page is...Gone! The #1 priority that should be listed on FN moderators' TO DO LIST is create a community page.
1. The most recent blog posts 2. The most popular blog posts 3. The most recent groups 4. The most popular/ active groups 5. The most recent comments 6. The most actice users 7. The most newly created users/ profiles
... All wraped up into one page, the Community Page. This page was the way I communitcated through FN, by reading the most recent comments/ blogs/ group pages. I, from there was able to find a way to actually have a comversation without jumping back an hour later to get a comment reply...But now it is still hard to to comunicate with others, actively at least.
So my point is... bring back not the entire format, but the community page- at the very least!

Don't get used to the white! Its just Time Warner brainwashing you! Make them change it! Keep on them to change it!
As for the community page - it's a necessity and a no-brainer that a "Community" as we are, should have our own COMMUNITY page. Absolutely. And I think that 99% of the regular users used the old community page exactly as you did - and thats exactly how I used it to. It needs to come back. Desperately.

I agree about the community page. I also noticed the fanmail had the 0. Next up we need to get a button or something to find user/groups and create groups without having to copy and paste a link. I still don't like the blinding white.

All right guys! YOU and all the members of Fan Nation will be the ones to recreate this "abomination" that is the "NEW" site which kind of sucks eggs. First of all it's too damn bright! second, "WE" do need a community page with up to the minute postings and messages from across all of Fan Nation! Thirdly, make it interactive! Have instant access to all postings and blogs including comments on the blog posts. communication between fan nation members is what made the former site so popular!

I was the one who had them change that. I sent in a whole list of things and that is 1 of many changes that they will be making.
