Most of you who have read my last college football blog you probably believe that I know nothing about college football. Well, with this blog I am hopin I can prove my college football knowledge(for those of you still on FN).
Rose Bowl(national championship game[please correct me if I'm wrong]): USC vs. Oklahoma- These two teams would be a great matchup. Oklahoma's great offense versus USC's amazing defense, and would be a high scoring game. Who wins? USC. Score Prediction? 48-42.
Sugar Bowl: BYU versus Ohio State- This is a perfect matchup. Both teams are pretty slow, and big ten type styles. Except for the fact that BYU's offense has been great. It would be a great game to see that offense versus Ohio State's defense. This only happens if they go undefeated. Who wins? Ohio State in OT. Score Prediction? 38-35.
Orange Bowl: Georgia versus Florida- I know, this isn't normal for two in conference teams to be playing each other, but this is a great matchup. I think it would be everything that a fan would want in a major bowl game. Who Wins? Florida. Score Prediction? 49-48.
Fiesta Bowl: West Virginia versus Wake Forest- This will be the game of the two worst conference winners. But nontheless it should be a pretty good matchup. Pat White and Noel Devine against Wake Forest's good defense. Who Wins? West Virginia. Score Prediction? 38-24.
Cotton Bowl: Missouri versus LSU- Missouri's high powered offense versus LSU's championship defense. Would be a great game lead by Chase Daniel. Who wins? LSU. Score Prediction? 28-21.
Three minor bowl games to watch:
Capitol One Bowl:Auburn versus Texas Tech- Texas tech's high powered offense against Auburn's tough SEC defense. Auburn has a slight edge playing in the very tough SEC, though Texas Tech plays in the big 12, the second best conference. Who Wins? Auburn. Score Prediction? 56-49.
Chick-Fil-a bowl: Alabama versus Wisconsin- The offense ran through one of the best running backs in P.J. Hill against a tough Nick Saban coached team. Who wins? Alabama. Score Prediction? 35-24.
Holiday Bowl: Illinois versus East Carolina- Juice Williams and this high-powered Illinois offense against the little guys in East Carolina. The thing that keeps thm out of a BCS bowl is unimpressive wins against teams like Tulane. Who wins? Illinois. Score Prediction? 45-35.
Will these exact matchups happen? Probably not. But these would be some great games.
