The USC Trojans have pretty much beaten down every college football rival during the last 8 years - that is everyone except the SEC's elite programs.  I'm talking about the Florida Gators, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the LSU Bayou Bengal Tigers, and maybe even Nick Saban's Crimson Tide. SEC coaches, fans and players talk alot of smack, and frankly, I'm getting sick and tired of it.  SEC fans think they're the best conference just because they beat up on the hapless Buckeyes for a couple of years. Heck, the Georgia Bulldogs may even come into Tempe, Arizona this weekend and put a beating on the Sun Devils.  But nothing changes the fact that you SEC loudmouths are headed for a BCS Title game showdown with the mighty Trojans of Southern Cal.  On January 8 the Trojans will put you southern yokels where you belong - under the turf.

This is better smack talk than "the SEC is afraid of USC."

You think SEC fans are loudmouths? Look at the USC "faithful." What a bunch of pompous spoiled fans.

I've seen some alright USC fans like EastCoastKeith, but many USC fans are just as ignorant as SEC fans like MARINsur4 and yourself.

Thanks for the "shout out" How 'bout 'em... By the way, I'm satisfied with the dominant win over Ohio State (although I'm also thanking sweatervest for helping out the cause with some of the worst personnel decisions he's ever made in his highly successful career - what the hell was Pryor doing watching Boekman get abused all night?) but I am also no way convinced my Trojans are the nation's best team.

USC, somehow did what they did without answering these questions: 1. Is an inexperienced line prepared for a season with a bull's eye on its team's back every week?; 2. Will the small details like consistent punt returning and solid punt and kick-off coverage ever be where they should?; 3. When and how costly will the next "celebration" penalty be for this team.

Teams that worry me most right now: Oregon State (it's always a bad trip there for USC and no way will the emotion level be as high); Oregon; and Arizona State.

Teams that may be as good as USC if not better: Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia.

Thanks again for the shout-out How 'bout 'em. GO TROJANS!

Ok, I'm not even going to get started on what happened last night with the Beavs. Its not just SEC fans that think it???s the best conference. Everyone thinks that the SEC is the best conference. That is if they haven???t been living under a rock for the past 76 years, or they are some delusional PAC-10 fan. Yeah, we may not have an undefeated team every year, but that is a pretty tale task when you have to run the gauntlet that is the SEC. The mighty Trojans struggle to do that in a conference where they are the only decent team.

Errbody is quick to down USC (and maybe, rightfully so), but no one is pointing out how good Oregon State looked last night (Thursday). I don't know how Oregon did in its past couple of games (I didn't see them), but they just may be a force to be reckoned with after Thursday night if they keep playing that way. Either that or they were extremely lucky at the right time. I was impressed! (That's coming from an SEC fan).

Anytime you sit on an island with no real threat you are going to look good. Frankly USC is Great but I have watched the SEC for years and it is a bloodbath every Saturday. When they beat the slop out of each other, losses occur making them look less than they really are. If you take the 5 best teams in the SEC and replace them with 5 best teams in the NFL,(yes I know the best college team is no match for the worst NFL team) you can bet the NFL/SEC teams would pick up a loss or two. Wow 2 losses, they cant be that good. But when the National Championship comes around the SEC butchers people. Ask Oklahoma and Ohio st.
The brutality of the SEC pays off for the SEC teams in the big show. Period. One more fact. On average LSU and Florida have a little more talent that USC. Sorry but that's the way it is. The Trojans do not benefit from there schedule. Against Texas they were not accustomed to someone staying their face. They were cocky and choked. A game they should have won.
Maybe we will see it 2009. My money is on the SEC.
