This will be a relatively short blog, simply my opinion about our National Anthem.
1. If you don't want to salute the flag for religious or political reasons, fine. Just don't go out of your way to disrespect it. Not cool at all.
2. The National Anthem has a tune. I'm all for taking a little artistic independence, but holy crap at least keep it where we can recognize it. Some people, myself included, actually appreciate those that sing it the way it was written.
3. If you are going to be seen singing the national anthem, especially on worldwide broadcasts (like olympic medalists) please take the time to learn the words.
