As the first quarter unfolds, Bama looks in solid control. Arkansas looks confused.
Opening drive was solid. Typical Bama football. The line is blocking great and really driving the D-line off the ball.
JP not looking that sharp early. Hit a couple of good passes but then missed a couple badly. But in his defense, Arkansas bringing lots of pressure with blitz packages. However, this is causing them to go man coverage and I think that is going to end up costing them.
Coffee takes it 87 yards on a nice run. Nothing tough about it tho - there was a huge gaping hole and the D over-pursued badly.
Arkansas finds some success passing. This helping the running game, but Bama still appears to be controlling the D-line.
OOPPPS! Bama D adjusts, goes man to man, Dick makes a mistake. Javier Arenas takes it 68 yards for the score.
21-0 Bama, first quarter. That pick could be an early back breaker.
