We're about 3 1/2 hours away from the biggest game we've seen in these parts. Around 7 (or so), Appalachian State makes their visit to Bridgeforth Stadium to take on the JMU Dukes in the rematch of last year's 1-AA playoff game.
To show you how serious this game is being taken, read the following:
1) It's a 7:00 start. Usually a JMU home game would start @ 3:30 or 6:00.
2) Like last week's game (against UMass), this is on CN8...which you only get if you have Comcast Digital Cable, which I do. But, it means that only people in the Valley, the D.C. area, Baltimore, Philly, NYC and Boston (and surrounding areas) get to see this. Which is to say, the Eastern seaboard.
3) The Associated Press is sending people to cover this game. You read it right, folks; the AP is taking this seriously enough to send somebody.
So while you're watching the Georgia-Arizona State game on ABC tonight, read the scoreboard on the bottom of the screen carefully. I'm sure they'll have the score and/or highlights of the JMU-App State game as the night progresses.
J-M-U!!! J-M-U!!! J-M-U!!!
