Side Note: sorry I haven't updated my blog in a while everybody, but hopefully people will still start reading my articles again.

Tonight the New York Jets (1-1) take on the San Diego Chargers (0-2) on Monday Night Football. While it should be an interesting game I see know reason why the jets shouldn't prevail tonight. Wanna know why? Here are my top 16:

1. The away team dominates in this series: we all remember the 2005 playoffs with torn-rotator-cuff-Pennington leading the jets to victory in overtime. Well there seems to be a certain trend that follows here. The road team has won 3 out of the last 4 according to yahoo.com. Look for this trend to continue (hopefully).

2. The Chargers Super Horrible pass-defense: we weren't even this bad last year as the chargers rank 31st in the leauge giving up 293 yards per game to their opponents. Look for Jet Favre to have a big night

3. The Chargers below average run defense: It ranks 24th in the NFL giving up nearly 145 yards per game. They have a huge void that still needs to be filled with the departure of Shawn Merriman.

4. Brett favre: If #4 shows fir 4 quarters (4x4= 16 reasons, ahhhhh now i get it) then the Jets have a good chance to win. Brett favre is 5-0 carrer against the Chargers and has thrown for 8, count em', 8 300 yard passing games on MNF in his carrer which is tied for most all time in NFL history. If the play calling gets better there is know reason why it can't be 9. 

5. The most overrated term in the NFL: The "must win", in fact I almost wrote this article about how b.s. that term is. Does anybody think that if the jets are on the two yard line that the Chargers are going to stop and say " wait a minute, this is a must win...". No. Just because the fact that the Chargers are 0-2 doesn't mean that they're going to win because they have to. Just because a bunch of "anaylists" thought the Chargers would be good doesn't mean they will be. If you play with a high intensity in only "must win" games then your team has a big problem.

6. Our defense kicks arse!: we seriously do, really. Our total defense ranks 9th in the NFL (imagine after the Bye week)!

7. Another overrated player for the Chargers: Why is everyone so high on Chris Chambers? He only has 5 catches this year and with darrelle revis shadowing him all game don't expect a change.

8. We suddenly have a pass rush: the jets didn't have a sack until their third game last year but the jets have 9 sacks now in two games, at this rate the jets could lead the league in sacks by the end of toninght.

9. The pressure for the jets coaches to unleash the beast: Brian Schottenhiemer won't admit it but he knows how much pressure he's under to win this game and let Favre be favre. Because if he does this then the jets offense will be clicking on all cylinders.

10. The offensive weapons we have: let me put it out there that jerricho cotchery is the most underrated wide recievers in the league but this guy can flat out play. Our tight end depth is unbelievable and we have leon washington, and are I say it, Brett favre.

11. It's been a long time since we've rock and rolled;: hyped up for their first MNF game for a while now and maybe we can win a game that we're not actually supposed to win.

12. Our potent secondary: Full of playmakers such as revis and Rhodes we should be just fine against the air attack tonight.

13. Don't expect as much penalties on us: Last week was unacceptable as to many flags were thrown on key plays. Don't think for a second mangini didn't adress this as he is a preacher of disipline. Don't expect a bunch of free yards for the chargers toninght.

14. Ben Grahm is back!!!!!!!!: Now that we have our aussie back on the team it's time to do work!

15. TGIMNF on ESPN baby!!!!

16. Cause we're the jets and it's time to turn it on. J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!
