The SEC made it official - A.J. Green earned Freshman Player of the Week after his dominating performance vs. Arizona State.
Georgia won the game in convincing fashion, 27-10, as the 6' 4" flanker caught eight passes for 159 yards and one touchdown. His reception and yardage totals set career highs.
Green understated his performance, saying afterwards, "When the ball is thrown my way, I've got to catch it - that's my job."

The last receiver to notch 100 yards for the Bulldogs was Kenneth Harris vs. Mississippi State in 2006 - and Green's total was the most in a game since Fred Gibson had 169 yards vs. Arkansas in 2004.
Green currently leads Georgia with 16 catches for 300 yards and two touchdowns on the season - and he is averaging 18.8 yards per reception.
