There were positives and negatives for the Bobcat defense. Giving up 600 yards to Northern Colorado was the biggest negative. Getting four turnovers, something the defense hasn't done well with in the first two games, was the biggest positive.
There were also good things and bad things with the offense. The offense doesn't have a problem scoring and new starter Clint Toon performed well but an interception when the Bobcats were on the verge of scoring to take the lead going into the half took some of the air out of the team that had been driving the ball well up to that point.
This week's game against Southern Utah should be a slam dunk for the Bobcats. It's a home game, Cats always play well at home and Southern Utah, while performing well at times, is 1-3 coming into this game and has had offensive problems all season. With that said as erratic as the Bobcats have played this season NO game is a slam dunk.
