Just how bad has it gotten over at ESPN980 in D.C.? They are giving Vinny Cerrato a show to mouth off about all things NFL and Redskins. Vinny and the little Napolean (Dan Snyder) have had an ongoing fued with the Washington Post over their coverage of the Redskins. Personally I hate the Post in general but what I heard on Vinny's show the other day was so far off. On Monday's show, the topic was a segment during which he and Cerrato had discussed the job security of Raiders coach Lane Kiffin with the NFL Network's Adam Schefter and the show's co-host Frank Hanrahan.
Quoted from the show - Vinny Cerrato:
"Yeah, we got the tape. But we'll just say Jason La Canfora, he called the NFL to ask them are they not gonna charge the Washington Redskins with tampering. And let's listen to it and then I'll read the tampering rule."
The Post called the NFL's public relations staff last week to ask how the league's anti-tampering rules would come into play if Vinny Cerrato answered a question during his new radio show about a player or coach under contract to another team. Sports radio hosts are often asked these sorts of questions, don't they?
If you're like me, Vinny shouldn't stick to something he knows a little bit about (although his track record leaves much to be desired)?

Well, we all knew what the "Prima Danna's" agenda was when he bought the Skins: eradicate EVERY speck of Jack Kent Cooke's legacy, right down to taking JKC's name off HIS stadium.

Redskins all the way! All I'm saying is Vinny ought to stick to football leave the broadcasting to people who are pros at it (especially in DC save for Larry Michael).
