08:33 PM ET 06.28 | Did roger clemens make mistake coming back sense his return he has a 1-3 record with a 5.32 era i don't think thats whats he or the boss had in mind when they gave him a 28 million prorated contract some mlb insiders belive that the reason for his slow start is due to his lack of spring traning in his last to two starts he looked tired after a few innings of work and last night aginst a weak orioles lineup he failed to record a strikeout at 44 it's safe two say that he's not the pitcher he use to be and unlike the NL their are no easy outs in the AL which i think will make it harder for roger to back to his old self keep in mind the yankees are still a 11games out frist place and 7 games out of the wildcard clemens fastball has looked more slow then fast unless he can find away to get by hitters again it might be a long second half for clemens
