Troy Brown

Growing up as a little kid, I was a Patriots fan and my favorite player on the team was Mr. Patriot Troy Brown. Every Sunday I would watch Troy Brown make great plays after plays. He was also know as Mr. Versatile willing to play any position that was ask of him and did a great job at it. Playing Wide Receiver, Punt Return, Defense Back, and even back up Quarter Back he did it all. He was my role model grown up as a little kid, that love to play football and has been a big inspiration to me as a football player as myself; playing pop warren football to my high school football days. He was a hard worker never gave up and made him self a better football player and a better person, and that was my mind set as a football player myself.

September 25, 2008, Troy Fitzgerald Brown has officially retired as a New England Patriots. I will personally miss Troy Brown and wish him nothing but my best wishes to him and his family. He is a hero to me, because he wasn't the best player in the league, but he was a great all around player and never stops believing in him self. You can do what ever you want if you set your mind to it, you can achieve those goals, and he did. He might not be a Hall of Famer, but he will be know as one of the greatest player to put on a New England Patriots ever, and #80 on the Patriots will always be tied with Troy Brown.

There have been so many memories of Troy Brown plays it hard to choose one, but one of my best plays or moments was the final drive of Super Bowl XXXVI against the Rams; Troy Brown's 23-yard catch and run over the middle with just 29 seconds left and then runs out of bounds to stop the clock with no time outs left, to set up for a 47-yard game-winner kick by Adam Vinatieri to win the Super Bowl was one of my best moments to me. Without Brown quick thinking to run out bounds to stop the clock maybe the Patriots goes to overtime and maybe they don't win their first Super Bowl.

As I ask Pats fans, Troy Brown fans, or just football fans: what's your favorite Troy Brown plays or moments?

Best TB memory...I'm not certain, but I believe the first game Troy played at corner he picked one off. Amazing feat considering the man hadn't played on the other side since high school. Class act, three-time champion, and future hall of famer.

I liked Troy Brown, regardless of where he was on the field. He was an awesome player, just wish he could have fit in for one more year.
