Lugoff-Elgin took a trip with the Pain Train into Cayce on rainy Friday night and came away victorious over Brookand Cayce 43-7.

LE would take the opening kickoff and drive the possession into the end zone courtesy of Phillip Osborne cut back run to put the Demons up 7-0 after Grayson Quick added the PAT. The homestanding Bearcats would their ensuing possession down the field and score to tie the game at seven.

Trent Hudson score from two yards out with just under a minute to go in the first quarter. Quick's kick was no good and LE be up 13-7.

Grayson Quick would connect on a 44 yard fieloal with 4:02 left in the first half to extend the Demons lead to 16-7.

Brookland Cayce would threaten to score as they would get inside of LE's 10 yard line. A series of penalities and the Demon defense putting pressure on BC resulting in being tackled for losses would would force the Bearcats to throw. The ensuing toss to the end zone would result in an interception by Devonte Alexander.

The Bearcats would get the kickoff to start second half but they couldn't move the ball. The snap to the punter would be over his head and LE would recover the errant snap at the BC one yard line. Forrest Koumas would take the LE snap from center Michael Branham and go over the left side for a score. This would be the first of 20 third quarter points. Devonte Alexander would score from 33 yards out on a reverse with2:50 to go. The Demons would go for two and convert the try with Julian Baxter on a reverse to make it 30-7. With just 10 seconds left in the quarter Ozzy would score is second touchdown of the night to put the Demons up, 36-7 after the PAT was no good.

Lugoff-Elgin's final score of the night would come off a fake field goal try as Will Graham would find Campbell Connell in the end zone from 22 yards out. Quick would connect on the kick to make the final margin 43-7.

Lugoff-Elgin enters the region schedule with 4-1 record on Friday, October 3rd against Chapin for Homecoming.
