I don't know about yall, but I'm really getting tired of all these "roughing the passer" calls. I understand you have to protect them, because they are basically defensless. But if I'm not mistaken, I believe you can have 2 steps and obviously no helmet to helmet contact. A very critical call in the UGA/BAMA game kinda set the tone for the --- whoppin we recieved in the first half between the hedges this past weekend. Now, I know that one call has nothing to do with the outcome of the game, I just think it the contact that was made was undoubtably not worthy of the penalty served. Now, if the call had not reversed a fumble recovery, I'll admit it probably wouldn't have stung so much. As a defensive lineman/linebacker, you are told to get your hands up every play, Its almost a cardinal rule. The defender did not "slap", "grab" of throw the QB to the ground with his hands on the facemask. This is not the first call like this I have seen this year. (And yes I am a Dawg fan, so trust me, I have seen a alot of them LOL) I just wanted to hear some feedback from other football fans, and maybe I'm just missing something.

Your not the only one to notice all that bogus stuff. Did you see the call against UGA playing Arizona with Mo "tripping"?? The guy did not even fall down. And Mo was on his behind...GEEZ!!!

I agree with you, even though I am a Bama fan and the call did work in our favor. As long as there is no intent, they should let them play. Football is a contact sport after all.

it was a blow to the head...PERIOD and besides that was just one TD

I think UGA players need to quit hitting the QB after so long of a time after the ball was thrown. If you see the ball get thrown, and you are able to stop yourself, then stop yourself. These weren't Pac 10 officials at the UGA/Bama game. However, I did notice the Dawgs actually make an effort to avoid the "Roughing the Passer" or "Late Hit" calls in the second half. Richt needs to coach avoiding penalties more. When you're last in the NCAA in penalties, something needs to change.

it was ugly, and the calls were just one more thing that didn't go our way. got to get healthy with Tennessee is all I can say.
