I hate to say, I told you so.
Okay, I'm lying. I don't mind telling you so at all.
Long before the fiasco with the "mis"management team of the GB Packers railroaded arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, and undoubtedly the most known Green Bay Packer of all time--back when Brett had retired for the first time, and I had accepted the finality of it--one question haunted me.
I knew Aaron would be competent, and maybe even good. IF, (and this is the key word in this sentence) he could stay healthy.
But, now it appears, that Aaron has separated his shoulder.
And, so, now, the hopes of the Green Bay Packers rests on Matt Flynn or Brian Brohm.
I'm not saying that they can't be good.
But, it ain't going to be this season, in my opinion.
And, so "mis"managements hulla-baloo about the railroad has left the station--well, now it appears that the train got de-railed, didn't it?
Yes, Brett had a couple of miserable games, but even Mangini admitted the receivers had to run cleaner routes.
And, I also blame Mangini for the biggest part of that loss. When you are three points down, and you do an onside kick, well that's either pure stupidity or pure genius. But, it proved to be stupid.
And, when you're on the 1/4th yard line, you should at least pretend to have a running play opportunity by lining up your running back in the back field on a two point conversion.
And, to be totally honest, the Jets was the last team I expected Favre to join.
But, the point is this: Favre threw 6 touchdowns today. Aaron separated his shoulder and may be out for the bulk of the season.
And, you don't think that the town of Green Bay ain't going to run Ted and company out of town.
I was right once, wasn't I?
And, I've even had a Brooklyn writer call me a "moron" for talking about how stupid the UFL will be if it brings Michael Vick to its roster and for praising Chad Pennington for being a classy guy.
But, I'm not afraid of name callers. If they can't back it, they should shut up.
But, I backed it.
And, any of you doubters out there might want to sh--oops, not being polite, are I?
But, you can't say I didn't warn you that "mis"management's failures would come back and haunt them.
