Ned Yost was fired, the Brewers went on a bad streak, Gallardo and Sheets were injured, Gagne struggled. Lots of problems were circling the Brewers, but in the end they made it to the playoffs. Ryan Braun hit yet another crucial home run and CC Sabathia's gem once again came back. They took down the Cubs, who were playing backups. Now once again the Mets are the ones sitting at home after another late-season collapse. So much for Jerry Manuel's "feelings". The Marlins once again were the ones to beat the Mets and knock them out of the playoffs with Dan Uggla hitting a homer to help take them down.
