From the Cubs Brickyard: (Chicago, IL) - The Cubs came into their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers with a strategy: don’t let Manny Ramirez beat you. And so far, the strategy is working, despite Manny’s two home runs.

It was exemplified last night, in the Cubs’ 10-3 loss to the Dodgers. The Cubs can rest knowing assuredly that they didn’t let Manny beat them.

Manny’s second home run of the series last night took place well after the game was already decided. That’s because in a mind-bogglingly terrible 5-run second inning, infielders Ryan Theriot, Mark DeRosa and Derrek Lee decided that it was up to them to decide the game.

That was pretty bad . . . but I hope Cubs' fans aren't giving up just because no N.L. team has overcome a two-game deficit in the NLDS before . . .
