A week or so after i post my fire nolan blog post it comes to pass that he is indeed fired. With the way the new coaches have been performing so far (especially the Rams at 2-0 with new coach beating 2 good teams the cowboys and the redskins) i feel optimistic about the niners heading out. We got the seahawks next week who i think we can handle fairly easily. Then a bye but the next real test comes against the cardinals in prime time monday night football. I think that if the new coach comes in and gets this team going, we take out the cards with the nation watching proving we are a decent team.

Nolans reign here in San Fran has been a depressing one to say the least. his overall record has been 18-54, one of the worst the niners have ever had. His failure combined with alex smith makes this one of the darkest periods in niners history. I hope the new coach (probably mike Singletary) can lead us out of this. The niners got talent and if they can use it right, they might be able to makes a playoff run next season. Sullivan, Gore, and plenty of good passing options make up an offense which, if used right can become powerful. The defense has got plenty of talent as well including young line backer patrick willis. If the niners can turn around, they become one of the better teams in the league.
