This is the First Edition of my Facebook group "Steelers Nation" Woldwide newsletter. I started the group just before the 2007-2008 NFL season while living in South Korea. The idea came about when I visisted Seoul and took some pictures of the Seoul Tower. I thought to myself "wouldn't it be cool if there was a place where Steeler Fans from around the world could post pictures of themselves with Steelers stuff infront of famous landmarks". That's when I started the group on Facebook. I haven't updated it yet this season because I've been busy moving. If anyone wants to join, look us up on Facebook.
To start off what is expected to be a long lasting Steelers blog, I would like to say thankou for viewing. Let's hope the next few months are as good as the last few, Steelers winning.
This week was another showing of how much the Steelers actually dominate the sub-par teams of the AFC North. Although Carson Palmer was hurt and the Bengals started Cedric Benson, I think it's very safe to say that the Bengals are a bottom of the league team. It absolutely showed on Sunday.
The Steelers offense didn't put up enough points in the first half. They completely shut down the Bengals offense (3 and outs on the first 5-6 series), but they couldn't move the ball enough to put up enough points. If we do this next week against the Giants, we are not going to win. We need to start capitalizing on the opportunity. We can't let teams stay in the game with us.
The Steelers defense was absolutely perfect for most of the game. They let up late in the second quarter to give the Bengals its on TD of the day (Ocho Cinco TD catch). Woodley and Harrison combined for a great day coming off the edges. Tryo got hurt, Ike played well, and the Steelers won.
HOW ABOUT THAT 1ST QUARTER BLOCK ON KEITH RIVERS? WELCOME TO THE NFL CUZ! Hines Ward layed that sucker out big time! You need to keep your head on a swivel when you are playing against the Steelers, Keith. Best wishes, ice that jaw, hope you come back soon.
Well that's enough for now. Tune in next week for a more prepared edition of SNWW.
