Monday morning travel special ' This just in... two guaranteed quiet flights to London, England! Insider bonus... share these flights with one of two NFL teams, the Saints or Chargers!!'

I doubt either team would have thought that this game would be a nail in the losing teams season coffin. Ouch. The Saints folded for sure. Carolina is looking like a true challanger for the NFC title. Losing to Minnesota and Tampa they leave a person with doubts  but in a season like this teams like Carolina look like front runners.

San Diego has lost confidence again and won't make the playoffs unless they find it. They've done it in recent seasons but it's getting late and the four games they've lost already were one's I'm pretty sure they expected to win. Buffalo dominated on Sunday. The Chargers still have a handful of tough obstacles in the second half and the way they're playing they could lose any given week. The good news... their strongest divisional opponent is Denver who can play as terrible a game as anyone, and for a while they've lost Champ Bailey.

New Orleans is banged up and should drop another to the Chargers this week who seem to win when offenses are dominant in a game. The Saints dropped two games behind in their division and Carolina  Tampa ( and surprisingly Atlanta) are playing strong. Logic dictates that the Falcons will fall back as the season goes on but who knows... Ryan's team is only building more confidence weekly.

The Cowboys have been the #1 story all week, I see no reason to shovel any more onto that pile, I'll only say with a collective psyche that weak they'll have to get very lucky to make it to the S.B. witout some personnel changes.

It'll be interesting to see how Philadelphia responds now that both Dallas and Washington seem beatable. The Giants still look solid even after losing to the Browns two weeks ago.  Hard to win 'em all. But Philly has to be thinking 'yes we can'.  Not so sure this was a good week for a bye-week though. They seemed to be needing to get fine tuned. A week off might be a negative distraction.

The Colts got dominated by the Packers proving their not yet back to their status of the previous few seasons and might not return for a while. They were penalized a lot. I think a few were questionable but many were not and many were stupid. One of the strengths of this Colts team has been how smart they play. Maybe it's youth and will get better. I certainly hope so. Rodgers and the Pack played a great game. Good offense, good defense. If they could play like that consistently they'd be going to great places, we'll see if they can do that.

Detroit Kansas City and Cincinnati continue to blunder... who gets the #1 draft pick?

Anyway, preview time in  a couple of days, until then,      Bones
