Oh how I miss the Firebirds.  Right now I am watching the Tampa Bay Storm play the Columbus Destroyers.  I personally do not consider it to be a minor league to the NFL.  It is a completely different style of play.  Some players play both sides of the ball.  These players didn't make the NFL, but they are still great.  Some of the catches are crazy.  Bobby Sippio is an amazing wide receiver.  It is beyond my knowledge why he isn't in the NFL.  He is really fast and has great hands.  If I were the Bears, I would try him out.  There is nothing to lose.  One of my favorite parts is hoe close the fans are to the action.  They could reach over and strip the ball away from a player if they wanted to.  It amazes me how into the game the crowd is.  At minor league baseball games, people don't care.  They go to see rehab assignments or to get whatever they are handing out for free.  At Arena League games, people care.  This was perfectly marketed.  Of course the Colts play like an Arena team, but it would be great if Indy got another one.  The last year of the Firebirds was Adrian McPherson's rookie year when he was phenominal.  They are gone now, but Arena games are so much fun.  Less than seven minutes into the game and the game is tied 7-7.  This is a great sport, and it has been run perfectly.
