So now his medical problems are his own, huh? I find it extremely odd that Cleveland Browns TE Kellen Winslow Jr. could be so vocal one day and so contrite the next with regards to the safety of Browns facilities. Granted, Winslow can say some pretty stupid things (the "soldier" comment while at Miami), but this might have been the time to speak out.

The Browns did themselves no favors by suspending Winslow for speaking out. He did what he thought was right. Several Browns players had contracted staph infection (including himself, twice) over the past two years and apparently enough wasn't done in-house to rectify the situation. What do you do at that point?

Winslow's latest statement is so artificial (and maybe he meant it that way) that it says more about the Browns doing a major CYA than anything else. Rescinding the one-game suspension was a carrot, provided the "piece of meat" played along and said exactly what the organization wanted him to. I, for one, would have taken my chances and told them to stick it and cut me.
