For those of us who enjoy Division 1-AA football, there's a twin delight this weekend on TV...even if only one game is on nationally.
Tonight, it's Wofford and Appalachian State (on ESPN2) @ 8 Eastern. If you haven't had the opportunity to see App State, watch this game. Armanti Edwards, the QB for App State, is damned good. Trust me on this one. He matched up toe-to-toe with Rodney Landers, his counterpart @ James Madison, a few weeks back. (Disclosure: I live an hour away from JMU.) And let me tell you, he impressed me a hell of a lot. Only a junior, mind you, but I fell he can make it in the pros as a WR. He's that tough.
Speaking of JMU (and Rodney), they play Delaware @ 3:30 Eastern. The game's on CN8, which you can only get if you have Comcast Digital Cable (like I do)...and that means people in DC, Delaware, Baltimore, Philly, New York, Boston and surrounding areas (as well as the Shenandoah Valley and parts of western Maryland) will see this.
I understand the end of last week's JMU game (with Villanova) is on YouTube. Do you not agree with me that was a bizarre ending?? I don't know how much more of this I can take, to be honest.
