The Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) travel to our nation's capital this monday night to battle the NFC Powerhouse, Washington Redskins (6-2).  Kickoff is @ 8:30pm EST ESPN.  The Steelers are 3-0 in night games, yet remain bottom of the NFC East w/ 2 losses this season vs. NFC teams (lil bit of da Irish Humour...).  The Men of Steel's loss last week vs the NYC Giants can only be described as an epic battle combined w/ a lethal dose of the unexpected.  Corrections have been made, however, & it is time to move on.....

Quick Hitz:

Hoggs Offense:

Lead by possible future league MVP, QB Jason Campell.  This man has been playing terrific ball lately w/ yet to give up an interception for the season.  He likes to attack the single high safety and must be under constant pressure by the Steelers D...

Clinton Portis, premier RB, is the rush attack.   Is leading the league w/ 944yrds & is the 1st to do so in Redskins' history since the great Larry Brown in 1970.  Classic RB w/ a predetermined vision of the game.

Air Attack via Santana Moss (WR), Randel El (WR), & Cooley (TE).  Antwan is an Ex-Steeler w/ a Super Bowl under his belt.  Moss is dangerous after the catch.  Cooley is a legit 3rd down threat.  He works the interior & sometimes can be seen as a backup FB...

Hoggs D:

Have primarily a 4 man front.  Lookout for Griffin.  He is a 300 lb+ DT who plays inside & upfront. Also former Univ. of Georgia Star, DL Demetric Evans is one badd sum-of-a-gun...

LB - Only one of importance.  London Fletcher.  A John Carroll Grad that must be blocked @ all costs...

Secondary:  Close to outstanding.  Very aggressive & like to get to the rock @ all costs.

Steel Offense:

RB, "Fast" Willie Parker should be starting this week.  A knee sprain has been his limiting factor.  If healthy, expect 100 yrds +.  Parker can't wait to rumble past the Hoggs front four...

WR, Santonio Holmes will return after last weeks legal absence.  The "One-Two Punch" of his skills combined w/ Ward's adds another dimension to the Steel air attack (info on such is confidential).

Steel D:  Solid pedigree & sound play thus far this year.  Are looking foreward to the competition.  Must have "Gap Control Disipline".  The goal of which is to Shut Down Portis.....

Final Thoughts:  The Men of Steel have moved on since last week.  Parker & Holmes are back.  Big Ben can't stand the sight of the Redskins.  The Steel D is healthy & hungry for the taste of victory.  Campbell WILL experience confusion.  Portis WILL be man-handled...  This game isn't about NFL trends or ESPN Romo-Brady-Ocho-Farvererer-Lovers...  The Men of Steel are nothin but buisiness....
