Only 3 or 4 games remain on each FBS team's schedule, and the conferences couldn't be more undecided. Here's my 2nd attempt at naming each conference champion.

ACC: Georgia Tech Why not? I only picked Georgia Tech to be at the bottom of the barrel in their conference at the start of the season. In my defense, who knew that the ACC would be so bad? Previous Pick: Clemson

Big 12: Oklahoma I've got to stick with the Sooners. A few things need to happen for the Sooners to end up in the Big 12 Championship game. First, Texas Tech needs to take care of business against Oklahoma State. After that, Oklahoma needs to survive a shootout versus Texas Tech in Norman. Then, Oklahoma needs to avoid being upset (will they even be favored?) in Stillwater. If Texas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma all finish with 1 conference loss, then the BCS standings will decide what team will represent the South. Of course, Texas A&M could make things a lot simpler for everyone and continue their streak against Texas. One thing is certain: The team that represents the North will not be favored to win. Previous Pick: Oklahoma

Big East: West Virgina With all due respect to my good friend Pitt Panther, I'm going to have to go with the Mountaineers here. They've been on quite a roll since suffering that overtime loss to Colorado back in mid-September. However, Pitt should be excited. Every time I've picked the Panthers to win this season, they've lost. Each time that I've picked against them, they've won. Previous Pick: Connecticut

Big Ten: Penn State I honestly typed Michigan State before I typed Penn State. Every part of me wants Penn State to lose, but with only 3 games left and Michigan State travelling to Beaver Stadium, it seems highly unlikely. If Michigan State did happen to beat Penn State, it would create a 3 way tie among Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan State. How would it be decided? The team that played the most games against FCS competition would be eliminated. In that scenario, Ohio State and Penn State each played 1 game against FCS opposition while Michigan State played none. Michigan State would represent the conference in the Rose Bowl via this tiebreaker. However, it is still unlikely, and I am still picking Penn State. Previous Pick: Ohio State

Pac-10: USC I know that a Penn State-Oregon State rematch is what everyone wants to see, and as of now, Oregon State is the Pac-10 leader. However as far as Pac-10 schedules go, the remainder of Oregon State's is pretty tough. With games remaining @ UCLA, home vs. California, @ Arizona, and home vs. Oregon, it is likely that they will lose one more before it's over. I bet the Beavers sure are kicking themselves for not showing up against Stanford in Week 1. Previous Pick: Arizona

SEC: Alabama I picked Alabama to win the SEC after watching them completely dismantle #9 Clemson. While that win is not the least bit impressive at this point, the Crimson Tide have still been rolling along. My pick after week 1 was Alabama over Florida in the SEC Championship Game. While Florida has been just as impressive, Alabama has given me no reason to change my mind. Previous Pick: Alabama

Conference USA: Tulsa Remember when everyone was calling East Carolina the next BCS buster? Now, 6 weeks and a reality check later, I'd say it's pretty clear that there's really nobody within this conference that can compete with the Golden Hurricane. Tulsa will likely face the winner of East Carolina-Marshall. Either way, I don't think they're too concerned. Previous Pick: Tulsa

Mid-American: Ball State I really don't know a whole lot about Ball State other than the fact that they are 8-0 and the only ranked team in their conference. That's good enough for me. Previous Pick: Ball State

Mountain West: TCU All the talk about BYU and Utah was starting to make me sick. After seeing TCU play against Oklahoma, I knew the Horned Frogs were the best team in this conference. I couldn't have been happier to see them crush the BCS buster favorite. Don't expect a much different outcome on Thursday. TCU wins by 3 touchdowns and seals the deal. Could they really get a BCS berth with 1 loss? Previous Pick: TCU

Sun Belt: Troy This conference contains the teams that you watch BCS teams beat up on every week. Most of the teams endure some pretty rough non-conference schedules. Louisiana-Lafayette leads the conference right now, but Troy is the defending conference champion, and I expect them to repeat. Previous Pick: Troy

WAC: Boise State Boise State's entire season hinges on the outcome of their final game. Fresno State appears to be the second best team in this conference. The question is, how big is the gap between #1 and #2? If my conference predictions are correct, could we be looking at a rematch of the 2007 Fiesta Bowl? Previous Pick: Boise State

Nice blog. I disagree on the Big 12 and SEC, though. I think Texas Tech will ride their explosive offense to a Big 12 Title (remember, they beat Oklahoma last year when the schism between the two teams was much wider) and that Florida will re-assert themselves in the SEC (Alabama's habit of taking the second half off concerns me, especially against Florida).

Good blog...

Big 10...I would also love to see Michigan State beat Penn State, and I wouldn't be shocked if that happened (MSU did beat PSU last year witha 4th quarter comeback at Spartan Stadium). With that being said, I wouldn't be shocked if Michigan State lost to a bad Purdue team Saturday (they have a history of losing to at least one terrible team each year) and I think Penn State is in for a very tough game on the road against a physical Iowa team.

As for the Big 12...I agree that Oklahoma is will come out as the champion. There is no way that Texas Tech beats the Sooners. I still think Oklahoma is the best team in the country, but they probably won't get a shot at the BCS title game since the SEC champ will be playing an undefetaed Penn State.

SEC...I think Florida beats Alabama and goes to the BCS title game. The gap between Florida, Bama, and the rest of the SEC similar to USC and the rest of the Pac 10. I see the Big Ten winning the Capital One Bowl (probably MSU vs Georgia) and the Outback Bowl (probably Minnesota or Northwestern vs LSU). Not necessarily a testament to the strength of the Big 10, just that the SEC is not any good after Florida and Bama.

Pac 10...USC will win it, no way Oregon Sttae can run the table (cal has a better shot of being the darkhorse champ than Oregon State in my opinion).

Mountain West..Let's get one thing straight, TCU is the only quality team in this conference. Utah and BYU are still hanging their hats on wins against Michigan, Washington and UCLA (hardly an impressive group). Utah did have a qulaity win against Oregon State, but they are no better than a 20th ranked team. TCU should be ranked around 20th as well. BYU shouldn't be rankled at all. I see TCU winning and Boise State or possibly an undefetaed Ball State as the BCS buster this year (there is much more interest in an undefetaed non-BSC team taking on the big-boys than a 1-loss team in my opinion).

WAC...Boise State will beat Fresno and go to BCS

ACC...Who Cares

Big East...West Virginia (but still, who really cares)

MAC..Central Michigan will upset Ball State in two weeks

C-USA...Tulsa stinks, they will lose again before the season ends

Sun Belt...Can't even name a team from this conference

Big East: I think this is the first time on FanNation that I seen the word 'respect' used in the same sentence as 'Pitt Panther'.

Pac-10: Could have sworn I'm still owed some money here regarding an Arizona game a couple of weeks ago.

Nice blog and nice avatar, DWS.

I agree with redwing19 - I don't think Alabama will win the SEC this year. I think Penn State might run into some trouble too. I would LOVE the Sooners to win the Big-12 but I really, really don't want another Boise State-OU Fiesta Bowl.
