After missing a week of rankings I am back at it.  Since it is Election Tuesday, I am going to get a little political before the rankings, so I decided I would disclose where I stand on the election...Barack Obama all the way.  After I mapped out the electoral votes in America I gave the final count of 338 to 200 (electoral votes)...Obama winning.  This is not to say I completley agree with Obama or completley disagree with McCain, I am very moderate and share views in both parties.  But the kicker that sent me over to the Democrats was the nomination of Sarah Palin.  If she was elected I would have to kill myself, because I couldn't watch someone that unintelligant be elected to a high office.  You realize she hasnt been out of the country before!!!  She has abused her position in Alaska, has shown signs of being mentally unstable while in office in Alaska, and has no clue about what is going on in the world.  It would be a sad day to see her elected.

On to the rankings...

.)  Titans-  Tough win against the Pack, but they pulled through.

.)  Giants-  I actually rooted for them during the game against Dallas!  But they deserve second place here even though the Dallas win meant virtually nothing.

.)  Panthers-  The two headed running attack is effective and Delhomme has been great.  Defense is stepping it up and a pounding they put on the Raiders leaves everyone in high spirits.

.)  Steelers-  Ben will be a huge loss but Leftwich proved he is capable.

.)  Eagles-  Donovan is playing extremely well and B-brook is playing like he wants the MVP.

.)  Cardinals-  Hightower is my fantasy hero of the year.  He is racking up the TD's with a NFC lead of 7.

.)  Buccaneers-  Almost losing to KC is not good...they seriously need to take some time to look at their defensive schemes.

.)  Redskins-  Their offense couldnt move the ball on a legit defense.  Their defense also struggled when it came to stopping the run.

.)  Jets-  Beating Buffalo was huge but a game against the Pats is looming and I know they want revenge.

.)  Patriots-  Playing Buffalo and NY in consecutive weeks will decide their future this season.

.)  Falcons-  I like Matt Ryan for ROY.  But their defense has suprised me, they have played pretty well up until this point and have really been the best part of the team.

.)  Bills-  They need to find a way to win the big games.

.)  Ravens-  Flacco has been sensational so far.  But how about Ray Rice, 170 total yards?!?

.)  Cowboys-  Honestly I am surprised to see them this high, but even with Romo coming back, they have much much worse problems that he cant help.

.)  Bears-  Orton is big loss, but Rex can fill in nicely if they need him.  Big games against Minnesota and the Pack are coming.

.)  Packers-  Proved they can play with the best of the best, this is a legit team with a bad record, look for their easy finish to help them.

.)  Colts-  A huge morale booster for the Colts beating NE.

.)  Saints-  Brees is a good MVP candidate but where is Shockey?

.)  Vikings-  Frerotte is not a good QB, but their running game is good enough that he just needs to throw a bad pass every once and awhile.

.)  Dolphins-  A good story this year.  The wildcat is losing some of its thunder but still effective.

.)  Broncos-  They are going to lose the division unless Cutler steps up now.

.)  Browns-  Brady Quinn wont leave that starting spot for the rest of his career.

.)  Chargers-  They could easily take first place by the end of this week.

.)  Jaguars-  They need to beat the Lions by a lot or they should just leave the NFL this year.

.)  Texans-  Johnson is losing his mystique because everyone knows him now.

.)  Rams-  The talent or lack there of is starting to show.

.)  Bengals-  They got a win finally!

.)  Seadoves-  Losing my respect day by day.

.)  49er's-  Coach could pull down his pants again...that might work!

.)  Chiefs-  Almost upset the Bucs, but their lack of talent showed at the end of the game when it mattered.

.)  Raiders-  Al Davis needs to fire himself from GM.  The man has no clue what he is doing.

.)  Cute Kitties-  ...

You should really take a tip from Peter King. Leave Politics out of your column. We are not here for political commentary and you simply alienate fans with your "unwise" words. I suppose you wrote this before the article on Palin cleared her of abuse of power in Troopergate, but that is not the point. She is too inexperienced to back up an aged candidate and I agree with her lack of experience, but that is for Political Writers to cover. Pick a subject to cover and stick with it please. Politics or sports????

It was election day, I was in a politics mood. But if you are offended by it...skip it and move on to the rankings.

Notice I didnt dwell on it, I just wrote a couple of lines and then got back to sports.
