Never too early to start, as Republicans already have. Sorry Hillary, looks like you are going to have to wait until 2016, unless Obama is voted out by his own party or you decide to run as an Independent...
But, who do the Republicans turn to? John McCain is gone, and got his long awaited chance. Do we look back at the prelims and pick Huckabee (Governor of Arkansas), the runner-up for the GOP? Or do we go with Mitt Romney (former Massachusetts Governor), the person who was suppose to represent the Republicans this year? Several others also come to mind: Mitch McConnell (Senate minority leader), Jon Kyl (Senate assistant minority leader), Lamar Alexander (Senate Republican Conference Chair), or Kay Bailey Hutchison (Republican Policy Committee Chair). Of course, there is Sarah Palin (could be in Washington by January 20 anyway).
Think about it, why not Palin (providing she becomes a senator from Alaska)? She would fit the Obama standard, a first term Jr. Senator with little experience.
All kidding aside, the race for White House 2012 has begun, and before long, those long awaited campaign ads will be back. To end with a little humor...of course this is all provided that December 21, 2012 is not the end of the Earth as people are predicting.
