Forget all the hype about the election; Obama won, and will be our president.  The Dems have won substantial majorities in the Congress.  Now the Dems have to do something or they'll be right where the Republicans have just been.  The Dems have been there before, and got their butts kicked.  It's just the Rep's turn now.  It is an ugly cycle.

We'll all be OK; there will be changes, and not all will be good or bad.  We've been through these kinds of changes in our history and the country has persisted for over 230 years.

Let's just get used to the idea that we're all in the boat together.  Bush ruined the Rep Party and this is the price the Reps have to pay.  The Dems will screw it up eventually....they all do.

Besides, Obama isn't an idiot....he is as "stuck" with Pelosi and Reid as the rest of us.  If anybody thinks he's going to cave in to them, they are probably wrong.

Wonder how the ultra-rich athletes will handle the higher taxes that will come on their contracts!!!!

We'll survive and be fine.  He has 3 years to prove he can do it; otherwise, he'll have a very hard job getting re-elected.  He has to do something.

The thing is there are no more excuses. For years Pelosi and Reid have gotten by with doing nothing by blaming republicans. Now they have the ball and are responsible for the decisions that have to be made. No more blaming Bush, Haliburton, big oil, or any other republicans that thwarted their efforts in the past.

Except for the fact; do you know how much harder it is to clean someone else mess up?

True that. I think highly of Obama and I think he will serve our country well for the next years to come - congrats!

At least SOMEBODY on here has it right. Look, we're screwed REGARDLESS of who won. Arclight69 has it right: give these politicians enough rope, and they'll be ready for a lynching the moment they mess up royally.
But people, the election's OVER. Don't you think the hatred should be, TOO???

to Sports Nut: You're right......let's get over the silliness and hatred; time to act like mature adults (after all the electioneering BS) and get on with life. I'm pretty conservative, but there will be changes coming that will benefit....and cost....me as well. Nothing is perfect!!!
