There is a lot of turmoil and drama in the Raiders locker room. Actually the Raiders locker room has been in disarray ever since Gruden left for Tampa Bay. Not that players have to agree with all coaching moves, but when you religate your best reciever to special team duties, there are going to be a few sideways looks. Oakland Raiders sent DeAngelo Hall packing yesturday. Hall has been struggling since becoming a Raider. I don't think that is the real reason that he was released. Hall is the representation of the last few big name players Davis has brought to Oakland only to watch them self-destruct (Randy Moss, Daunte Culpepper, Javon Walker, for now) Davis just wanted to cut his loss now with Hall. I wonder where (if anywhere) Hall will go to possibly finish out the season. Stay tuned...
The Lions are trying to avoid that 0-16 distinction and they feel the way to the light of a win is Daunte Culpepper. They signed him and got him on a field to practice, quick, fast and in a hurry. He may make his return against Jacksonville on Sunday (that's a hell of a way to come back...Jacksonville. Hope they protect him!) Like AI on the Pistons, this maybe a great move for Culpepper. He's back in the NFC where he play very well in Minnesota. He has a potential big time reciever in Calvin Johnson. Cautiouly optimistic for the Lions offense.
Washington Redskins will honor the late Sean Taylor during their Nov. 30th home game vs. the Giants. He will be added to the Redskins' Ring of Honor. It is amazing the impact we have on people everyday. We really don't realize how much until someone dies. Maybe it was the close time proximity to the death of Darrent Williams, but the NFL as a whole took Taylor's death hard. Anyone would...killed at home. The one place where you should feel the safest. Glad to see the Redskins have moved on, but not forgotten their fallen commrade.
