Brady came...Brady saw...Brady conqured...Cleveland still lost. I don't understand. Oh wait, when your defense gives up 500 or so yards to a team (which had no running back in the 2nd half) you are probably setting yourself up for a loss. Whatever the case, Brady definatly had a great game against the Broncos. He settled quickly and went to work. Kellen Winslow had his break out game of the season...and was this week's Mr."Drop the game winning pass" winner as well. Disappointed to see that Joshua Cribbs didn't get loose this week. As for the Broncos, they came out looking as much of a mess as expected. Yet they made the big plays when necessary. Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall came up huge for their team tonight. Jay Cutler look good tonight as well. The Broncos effectively neutralized Braylon Edwards tonight allowing him 1 catch for 15 yards.
The Browns are now 3-6 with seven games to go. Cleveland has got to learn to close the deal. They cannot let up on either side of the ball when they have the lead. This team will not have many issues putting points on the board, but their defense is killing them. My understanding is that the obejct of the defense is to stop the other team from scoring...3 and out. Cleveland is not consistant and teams have their way. They stop nothing, not the run and sure as hell not the pass. The Browns snuck up on people last year and teams did not take them seriously. This year, however, no one is surprised. They know what Cleveland is bringing and they are preparing for that. The offense cannot carry this team this year.
The road for the Browns now gets a bit tougher. As of today, only two teams the Browns have to face have losing records (Texans, Bengals). The Browns should definately beat both teams. The games vs. the Bills, Colts, and Eagles are a toss-up. They could possibly sneak up and beat the Titans (the Browns loves to get up for a good game: see Giants' MNF) and/or the Steelers-which will be much harder because they are in PIT. Cleveland has a lot of work to do and all of it does not involve Brady.
